found in MAC700's reviews: Quiet, as far as compressors go. - The Low RPMs are what keeps it quiet(er) compared to similar compressors and that's what I needed for working in the closed quarters of a basement. Reviewer from Arizona - Comparing it to other light weight/low capacity compressors I had before the engine noise is not that bad. For instance the air filter is place in an aluminum container whereas most other small compressors use plastic containers instead which can easily break off. Great little compressor - I chose this model over the very popular oil-free pancake compressors mainly for it's compact size and low noise level.
The unit is compact, but much heavier duty than similar Cr*ftman compressors I saw at Sears. An Airbrushing Powerhouse -
I use it to power airbrushes along with an added-on airbrush regulator/gauge/moisture trap. This is exactly what I wanted for airbrushing. It has a much longer lifespan than "airbrush compressors". The airbrushes work consistently all throughout the refill phase. This is the muscle car of airbrush compressors even though it was made in Taiwan. 5 to 10 minutes of airbrushing in silence, and when it comes on it does have some volume, but it is so much less noise than an oilless. great machine - during my lifetime ( i'm 77 years ) I have owned several compressors and this quiet machine has performed the best of any. Quiet, Solid, Well Made - I was thinking I may have to buy two compressors, most portable units were too loud for the shop. It had good air flow.3 CFM is higher than many of the 75-pound twin stack compressors I saw. To reduce cycling in the shop, I attached my 5-gallon air tank (the kind you use for putting air in a flat tire) to the tank side of the regulator with a T and snap coupler.

The new MAC2400 - Twin Stack air compressor by Makita is blowing away the competition.3 amps to operate, a lower 1720 RPM rating and a heavy duty Intake Air Filter system like no other, its easy to see how this unit will out last and outperform everyone else. Large automotive style industrial air filter for increased air intake and greater efficiency.
found in MAC2400's reviews: Makita MAC2400 - Its heavy but so are all the other compressors in its class. It's a sweet piece - Having used various compressors in the past from cheap chinese brands to high end models this unit ranks right up there with the better ones. Great little compressor - com about 7-8 months ago and I was replacing a 2 gallon air compressor so this was definitely a step up. MAC2400 is quiet in comparison to some other compressors but it's still pretty noisy. The other Reviews are Correct, this is a great compressor - Unless you are getting a specialized mini-compressor just for a small brad gun, the $125-175 compressors are mostly junk: loud and rough. This Makita is in the next step up, with compressors in the $225 to 325 range. Most of this second tier are either made for just for job sites or are just bigger cheaply made compressors. When I went to use a Snap-On 7200 3/8" air ratchet, the performance was just adequate. Compressor great, but has a couple of issues - It _is_ quiet, as far as compressors go. SOOOO QUIET! - This compressor is amazing!! I've opperated many compressors over the years, and this is the quietest, most well built compressor I've seen. Excellent compressor - It is heavy, but so are all of the other compressors in its class. It is also an easy 2 handed carry: By placing each hand on the sides of the tubular frame (not the top where the rubber grip is) I can safely carry this thing up and down stairs. Great luggable compressor - The air cleaner was loose in the package (Makita, you really need to put some tape or something on that!) but there was no damage or marks on the compressor.
Con's ~ A little heavier than some other compressors of this capacity, but that is because of the extra armor. ~ Air cleaner is in a slighly precarious spot. Decent compressor if you can get one without damage - I researched portable compressors for months before deciding on the MAC2400. The air cleaner housing was thrown on top of the compressor and beat up the control panel and one gauge from bouncing around. I bought a Ridgid model with a higher cfm rating, larger air tanks, wheels, handle and it came out of box without a scratch. After moving it around the house and up the stairs, I don't know how long I would have enjoyed carrying the MAC2400 or any other brand compressor that weighs 70-80lbs.

found in D55151's reviews: Great Value! - As a trim subcontractor we use compressors every day and we have to have dependable equipment. I have had several brands of oil bath compressors. With routine checking oil and air intake filter your set for work. User friendly compressor - Previous small compressors I have owned were oiless types and were prone to freeze up under prolonged use. Packaging major problem - My problem has been receiving 3 damaged compressors.

found in PC0947's reviews: This contractor is very pleased... with the compressor - I own several portable compressors, but hate to lug them around. On bigger jobs I still use one of my heavy duty compressors. compressor try's hard but comes up a bit short - In my case it was the 1/4" copper tubing which brings the air to the tank that failed. I have fixed it with some liquid steel, since I'm on a job with it, I'm hoping the repair lasts till I have time to replace to tubing. I have used this to build two large bookcase and cabinet projects so far, and in doing so I have learned the compressors limitations. This won't take the place of more powerful compressors, but it is great for carrying to and from a job. Very Satisfied - I live in an apartment, and I agree with others who have found the noise level lower than other compressors, a blessing in that environment.
Not having any experience with air tools, yet knowing it was the way to go to install casing and baseboard in my kitchen remodel, I agonized over whether to get a brad or finish nailer.

found in D55155's description: com Review
At just a foot high and less than two feet wide out of the carton, this compressor was quite a bit smaller than we expected, so to be fair, we quickly lowered our expectations. Emglos half-century in the compressor business is evident in this model, and with a couple of small exceptions (well get into that in a minute), we dont think anyone could make a finer piece of air power.) It has air aplenty for two nailers at once, and with that fast recovery, the job will get done in no time. Heres to a great pairing of two great toolmakers. The package comes with the initial fill of DeWalt synthetic air compressor oil. Comes with the initial fill of DeWalt's synthetic air compressor oil.
found in D55155's reviews: DeWalt D 55155 - I use my compressor for light work on my auto and boat. It runs my air tools very well. The compresser came with a defective copper air line, DeWalt shipped a new one and I installed it. I repaired the switch by properly tightening the screw around the gasket. MOTION PICTURE IA - The only thing I can say is EMGLO! I have been using Emglo compressors for over 15 years years now in the Motion Picture Industry and on the outside and I never would settle for less. I must say I prejudged and thought well there goes the dependability and quality of Emglo's Compressors. dewalt has never let me down - its great!!never short on air supply, even when framing.as for noise, aircompressors make noise but this unit is not bad,its a lot nicer on the ears then my 30 gallon unit. the only thing that would make this unit more attractive would be wheels and a self-storing handle like porter cable offers on its single tank compressors, other then that i have no complants. A pleasure to own! -
The biggest complaint I have about other compressors is the portability of them. This helps to center the weight to my body and I can then lug the compressor up several flights of stairs without passing out.
The main reason I bought this unit over cheaper compressors was the recommendation to the brand names of DeWalt and Emglo. JUST WHAT I NEEDED - I HAVE HAD SEVERAL EMGLOW COMPRESSORS AND THIS HAS MET EVERY JOB I BOUGHT IT FOR. IF YOU NEED MORE AIR THEN I WOULD CONSIDER A 2 HP OR MORE SETUP. THAT MAKES THE CONTROLS FAIRLY WELL PROTECTED. roofer wayne - I used many compressors in 28 years of roofing. The only thing that was wrong with the first dewalt was the air regulator started leaking and had to be replaced. Other then that, it worked every day for two years so far, that with two or three roofing guns going which is like four framing guns and I did not notice it starving for air. Great !!! - After reading the reviews on Emglo compressors, I decided to get this DeWalt compressor because of the compact design. A nice small compressor - I bought this air compressor to do light construction work. It may cost a little more but you won't have to replace it like the other compressors. DeWalt takes a classic to a new level - Originally I figured the CH had a higher air output, needed no oil changes, would work on slopes and start in cold weather. 1) First of all the Emglo name on the unit reassured me that I was getting a tool built by the industry leader with a great reputation for tough, dependable compressors. The first day on the job proved it with quick cycling times and ample air at all times.
In short, this is a serious tool for the professional contractor with loads of power(delivered air), durability, great design and looks. My only complaint is the air release lever, an otherwise solid unit mounted on the underside of the tank. The opening is too narrow for your hand and the sharp stream of air can actually cut your skin.

found in C3151's description: First, and most impressively, its got a two-port removable console for remote air regulation and higher air pressure right where youre working. You can run three or four guns at once off it with a splitter and have no air supply problems whatsoever. The high-flow air regulator and two-port removable console are winning combinations for contractors. Having the ability to remove the console gives the user the opportunity to remote air regulation and gain higher air pressure closer to the job site. Air delivery at 40 PSI: 7. found in C3151's reviews: Wow I am impressed - I have owned quite a few compressors thru the years. From a homeowner - The manual says 15 Amps, but its more like a hair above that. The copper one that pumps the air into the reservoir. I made the mistake of buying one of the pancake style compressors and found it a little weak for doing the basement framing.

found in ASI300's reviews: The inflator I was expecting -
I like the auto shut-off feature, I have seen it only in few inflators. Gets the job done - - built-in handle is nice - long 12V auto power cord - two-year warranty
Negatives: - When it stops automatically after inflating one item (such as a tire), it must be turned off and back on to inflate another item, or to increase pressure setting and continue filling. - the air hose is fairly short.

found in MAC5200's reviews: POOR PERFORMER PERIOD! - I have been a carpenter for 15 years and have used alot of different compressors. Good specs for the price range - 8 amp draw, collapsible cart, oil lubed pump, good air filter and ball valve drain. Did not find many other compressors in this price range with those specs and did not want to pay $600+ for a monster.
On arrival the box had major rips and crushed areas fairly typical of my experiences of UPS shipment with heavy items.
