I guess thats one way they can cut costs. It also does not come with a quick connect fitting at the output end, but rather has female threads that you screw an air hose into. I saw this compressor for 139. The manual is not very well written at all, so take your time and read it over a couple of times! Hitatchi's twinstack oil-lube version is about the same as this compressor but goes for twice the price. Other than that I think that this compressor is a buy because it's oil-lubed (more reliable than oil less), affordable, and made by a company that is known for it's air compressors.
