Even for occasional home maintenance, airtools are more practical and less costly than expensive electric power tools with umpteen mechanical parts and exorbitantly priced batteries of all shapes and sizes. But before investing in smart airtools, you need a quality compressor. This popular 4-gallon twin stack aircompressor from Campbell Hausfeld is oil lubricated and built to last. Ideal for inflation, nailing, stapling and spraying jobs, this compressor also powers everything from sandblasters and spray guns to drills and die grinders in a matter of seconds. So, rather than investing in an expensive new electric tool set; save time and money with this 4-gallon compressor and Campbell Hausfeld's line of 70 high quality airtools. The initial cost of an airtool is significantly lower than its electrically powered counterpart, and the average tool life expectancy is longer, too. Plus, when powered by this 4-gallon compressor, airtools deliver more torque and higher revolutions-per-minute than electric tools for less downtime and greater productivity.

found in HL5502's reviews: incomplete package - As someone who is new to the Airtool game, I didn't want to spend alot of money seeing how I do not use airtools regularly but wanted to try them out.To get longer service life than oil free units, This compressor is an oil lubricated unit and yet it does not come with oil! I guess thats one way they can cut costs. It also does not come with a quick connect fitting at the output end, but rather has female threads that you screw an air hose into. I saw this compressor for 139. The manual is not very well written at all, so take your time and read it over a couple of times! When you get this compressor, you will have to go out and buy; 1 bottle of mobile one synthetic motor oil(10w30)for abot 5 dollars, a 1/4 inch fitting and quick connect(about 12 dollars). Now you are ready to plug in a hose and airtools.I am extremely happy with this compressor-it really isn't any noisier than other compressors in this price range-lets face it-compressors are a power tool and thus are loud!I did not find the noise that bad at all. It produces 5cfm at 40 psi, 4 cfm at 90, so it will run alot of tools besides nailers on an intermittent basis. My total investment to get this up and running was still less than 200 dollars which is not bad for an oil lubed compressor. The facts about this aircompressor - Don't believe everything that the editors at Amazon wrote about this compressor. It will not be the best tool to use when sandblasting or painting. With those jobs you need a large tank capacity like over 20 gallons at least, this compressor only has 4 gallons. Yes it is true what the other reviewer said, this compressor is loud, but what do you expect all aircompressors are relatively loud. And yes this compressor is heavy I think it's about 70 lbs. Hitatchi's twinstack oil-lube version is about the same as this compressor but goes for twice the price. Other than that I think that this compressor is a buy because it's oil-lubed (more reliable than oil less), affordable, and made by a company that is known for it's aircompressors.

found in C3151's description: com
Porter-Cables solved the compressor mobility problem on two levels with this tool. First, and most impressively, its got a two-port removable console for remote air regulation and higher air pressure right where youre working. And the compressor itself has wheels and an extension handle, making life easier on you.
Lets face it: This compressors big, heavy and loud, with a max psi of 150. You can run three or four guns at once off it with a splitter and have no air supply problems whatsoever.5 gallon, oil-free contractor style compressor is packed with features. It also packs 150 PSI in the tank for longer tool run time. The high-flow air regulator and two-port removable console are winning combinations for contractors. Having the ability to remove the console gives the user the opportunity to remote air regulation and gain higher air pressure closer to the job site. Air delivery at 40 PSI: 7.

found in C3151's reviews: Disappointed - I have been in the carpentry business for 30 years and have never been as disappointed in a American tool as this one. First off the unit is huge, it has a handle but won't stand up on its back legs,it gets hot and has no easy place to grab it to put it in the truck, it is the noiseist compressor i have ever used. PC makes good tools but I don't like this one.

At just a foot high and less than two feet wide out of the carton, this compressor was quite a bit smaller than we expected, so to be fair, we quickly lowered our expectations. The joke was on us, though, because this little powerhouse just doesnt quit, and we learned that you cant judge a compressor by its size. Emglos half-century in the compressor business is evident in this model, and with a couple of small exceptions (well get into that in a minute), we dont think anyone could make a finer piece of air power. Now, this may be a plus or a minus in your book, but we liked the fact that the compressor is factory set to power on at 100 psi an+d shut off at 120 psi, and the cycle time was under 15 seconds. We didnt find it unusually loud, but were given to wearing hearing protection with tools such as this one anyway (and we hope you are, too.) It has air aplenty for two nailers at once, and with that fast recovery, the job will get done in no time.
In balance, this is one of the best compressors weve seen for the size, power, ruggedness and incredible portability it offers. Heres to a great pairing of two great toolmakers.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

found in D55155's reviews: superb, and not easy to miss - Which is all you'll notice, which is great! I'd give it 6 stars if it had a flush mounted or built-in water separator/tool oiler. But then they'd never sell any more tools. And, with power tool cords, compressor hoses, ladders, saw horses, joists and rafters, not to mention canine helpers, we Never foul anything on this smooth, flush mounted unit (dogs avoid it, too). awesome tool - I bought this compressor about 6 months ago and love everything about it. Other tools - However, I use it primarily with other airtools including an impact wrench. I was a little worried about the 4 gallon reserve tank handling my impact wrench air volume which is the most common tool I use for odd jobs. But I can say it stands up very well to heavy use with other tools. DeWalt takes a classic to a new level - As a full time contractor working alone I am always on the lookout for tools that will make the job go faster and easier. Last yearI spent many months researching a replacement for my ailing Campbell-Hausfeld oilless compressor. Originally I figured the CH had a higher air output, needed no oil changes, would work on slopes and start in cold weather. After forking over the big bucks and putting it to work for DeWalt's 30 Day trial period I couldn't believe I'd gone so long without this compressor. 1) First of all the Emglo name on the unit reassured me that I was getting a tool built by the industry leader with a great reputation for tough, dependable compressors. The first day on the job proved it with quick cycling times and ample air at all times. I do a lot of work in luxury high rises and I've often left the compressor at home rather than drag it down endless corridors. I've paid for the compressor already in labor savings by bringing it to every trim job. I've had othe craftsmen come over and ogle the compressor and ask questions about it, but mostly admiring it.
In short, this is a serious tool for the professional contractor with loads of power(delivered air), durability, great design and looks. My only complaint is the air release lever, an otherwise solid unit mounted on the underside of the tank. The opening is too narrow for your hand and the sharp stream of air can actually cut your skin. In addition the compressor shoots out small chunks of ICE from the tank creating dangerous projectiles that will cut your hand or riccochet into your eye. Finally, I have a compressor that won't roll around in the back of the truck knocking off gauges and connections as I drive through the city. NOT for everyone !! - Be realistic and really think about your needs in a compressor - because this one is meant for low-volume work.
Factory set pressure valve set to kick on compressor at 100psi and turn off at 120psi - which means that any fair amount of use will cause this sucker to go on-off-on-off-on-off almost constantly!
Bottom Line: DO NOT get this if you need a generous supply of air (for blow nozzles, production cabinetry, house framing, paint sprayers, etc.)
Go ahead and get one if you need a portable, professional quality, low-volume air supply (for continuous finish nailing or occasional large gun use)
This would be the perfect tool for a handyman who needs occassional yet reliable air from house to house.

found in PC0947's reviews: Woodworker Hobby or Trim Tool - The nailer is a quality tool that sells for $120 everywhere so that makes the compressor only $75. I had a $15 coupon so the compressor was only $60 for me. The compressor is so light that it is no problem carrying it. Getting to small jobs and using this little tool is a pleasure. I will get an air blower tip for it; so far I'm satisfied. I'm impressed. - This tool is light and has plenty of power. The compressor is small & quiet and has absolutely no problem keeping up with the nailer. I own an old 5 horse 220 v compressor but wanted something to use inside the house without running hundreds of feet of hose from the garage. The Professionals Choice - Need a great combo 18ga brad nailer with a compressor?
Of all the installars tools we send out with our crews, this is the one everyone fights for! Lightweight, no missfires, quiet and compact!
Fits in our largest rolling tool bags along with the other guns and gear we use, like Porter Cable nailers.
We install a 1/4" inline AIR Filter,Regulator,Lubricators fitted to the systems plumbing to assure good clean opperation of our guns before we send them out into the field.
When you own a high profile cabinet and door company like we do, its important to look professional and be quiet in the customers home, taking up as little space as possible to get the job done and get out!
This is one of those tools that helps us accomplish just that! I give this unit a 5 star rating! A great system for lite finish work!
. My new favorite tool! -
THE COMPRESSOR: The PC1010 will change the industry. For homeowners, hobby woodworkers, and customer service professionals in the cabinetry industry this is the perfect compressor. There is no need to lug around a 4 or 6 gallon compressor for a little brad nailer. You can easily carry the nailer, hose, and bread box sized compressor in one hand. I nailed right through the recovery time, and never had to wait for the compressor to before driving any brads. I would not recommend the PC1010 for anyone who wants to drive anything larger than 18ga brads, or run multiple airtools from a single compressor. Also - the compressor is so new that Senco has very limited literature on it, but I would be willing to bet they will get this taken care of soon.

found in CPLC7060V's reviews: So far so good - I've had this compressor for about a year and like it. I bought it when I switched to airtool sanding and it easily keeps up with that job. The manual advises you to releive the air pressure though the quick relief valve, automatically down to about 10PSI, then opening the water drain and closing the valve before restarting. Pleased with compressor but not with Amazon - I received the compressor, but no electrical cord and nothing in the instructions to indicate how to connect it. I adapted it to get the compressor running. I've bought lots of things from Amazon and have been pleased overall; however, it appears the tool area needs improvement. It's frustrating to have to make adjustments and/or buy additional pieces to make the tools I've bought from them work. After I get some experience with the compressor, I'll update this review.
