Fuel Capacity .66 Gal.
Engine Honda GX120 4 HP OHV Gas
Pressure Switch Continuous run unloader valve with idle down - Unloads @135 PSI, Loads @ 115 PSI
Air Delivery 5.4 CFM @ 100 PSI
Air Displacement 12.4 CFM

found in TG-400HST's reviews:
Air Cube 1 - 4 CFM @ 100 PSI air delivery. The engine optimizes fuel efficiency by automatically slowing to an ideal speed when the air tanks are full.

The engine, even while operating faster to fill the air tanks, is relatively quiet allowing a normal conversation a few feet away. It is quieter than the pancake compressors I have used.

Each air tank has a separate moisture drain valve to keep the tanks from rusting on the inside.

* The air regulator comes with two 1/4" female NPT thread connections. Since I could not remove the stripped hex plug, I used the air gage connection to add a tee.

Quiet, Solid, Well Made - I wanted a portable compressor for using my nail guns at old houses, and was ready to replace my antique mastodon shop compressor. I was thinking I may have to buy two compressors, most portable units were too loud for the shop. It had good air flow. Portable.3 CFM is higher than many of the 75-pound twin stack compressors I saw. To reduce cycling in the shop, I attached my 5-gallon air tank (the kind you use for putting air in a flat tire) to the tank side of the regulator with a T and snap coupler. It's a large, high quality compressor mounted on a small, portable tank.
Quiet, as far as compressors go. - The Low RPMs are what keeps it quiet(er) compared to similar compressors and that's what I needed for working in the closed quarters of a basement.
Reviewer from Arizona - Comparing it to other light weight/low capacity compressors I had before the engine noise is not that bad. For instance the air filter is place in an aluminum container whereas most other small compressors use plastic containers instead which can easily break off.
makita mac700 2hp air compressor - way to fragil to be considered portable.
Great little compressor - I chose this model over the very popular oil-free pancake compressors mainly for it's compact size and low noise level.

The unit is compact, but much heavier duty than similar Cr*ftman compressors I saw at Sears.
Makita MAC700 -nice little compressor - It is resonably portable and very very quiet for a compressor.
An Airbrushing Powerhouse -

I use it to power airbrushes along with an added-on airbrush regulator/gauge/moisture trap. This is exactly what I wanted for airbrushing. It has a much longer lifespan than "airbrush compressors". The airbrushes work consistently all throughout the refill phase. This is the muscle car of airbrush compressors even though it was made in Taiwan. 5 to 10 minutes of airbrushing in silence, and when it comes on it does have some volume, but it is so much less noise than an oilless.

great machine -
during my lifetime ( i'm 77 years ) I have owned several compressors and this quiet machine has performed the best of any.

The new MAC2400 - Twin Stack air compressor by Makita is blowing away the competition.3 amps to operate, a lower 1720 RPM rating and a heavy duty Intake Air Filter system like no other, its easy to see how this unit will out last and outperform everyone else. Large automotive style industrial air filter for increased air intake and greater efficiency.
found in MAC2400's reviews:
Great portable compressor! - I have used the compressor to run a framing nailer, air drill, and impact wrench with no problems. With the air drill it took a couple times letting the air compressor recharge the tanks before I could get full power out of the drill. This is a great air compressor for anyone wanting a quite portable unit! .
Great Compressor - and very portable.
HEAVY = TOUGH - that being said it is still very portable - i just bought more hose so i don't have to move it as much.
Decent compressor if you can get one without damage - I researched portable compressors for months before deciding on the MAC2400. The air cleaner housing was thrown on top of the compressor and beat up the control panel and one gauge from bouncing around. I bought a Ridgid model with a higher cfm rating, larger air tanks, wheels, handle and it came out of box without a scratch. After moving it around the house and up the stairs, I don't know how long I would have enjoyed carrying the MAC2400 or any other brand compressor that weighs 70-80lbs.
Makita MAC2400 - Its heavy but so are all the other compressors in its class.
It's a sweet piece - Having used various compressors in the past from cheap chinese brands to high end models this unit ranks right up there with the better ones.
Great little compressor - com about 7-8 months ago and I was replacing a 2 gallon air compressor so this was definitely a step up. MAC2400 is quiet in comparison to some other compressors but it's still pretty noisy.
The other Reviews are Correct, this is a great compressor - Unless you are getting a specialized mini-compressor just for a small brad gun, the $125-175 compressors are mostly junk: loud and rough. This Makita is in the next step up, with compressors in the $225 to 325 range. Most of this second tier are either made for just for job sites or are just bigger cheaply made compressors. When I went to use a Snap-On 7200 3/8" air ratchet, the performance was just adequate.
Compressor great, but has a couple of issues - It _is_ quiet, as far as compressors go.
SOOOO QUIET! - This compressor is amazing!! I've opperated many compressors over the years, and this is the quietest, most well built compressor I've seen.
Excellent compressor - It is heavy, but so are all of the other compressors in its class. It is also an easy 2 handed carry: By placing each hand on the sides of the tubular frame (not the top where the rubber grip is) I can safely carry this thing up and down stairs.
Great luggable compressor - The air cleaner was loose in the package (Makita, you really need to put some tape or something on that!) but there was no damage or marks on the compressor.

Con's
~ A little heavier than some other compressors of this capacity, but that is because of the extra armor.
~ Air cleaner is in a slighly precarious spot.

This contractor is very pleased... with the compressor - I own several portable compressors, but hate to lug them around. On bigger jobs I still use one of my heavy duty compressors.
Senco brad nailer/compressor combo - It pressurizes relatively quietly and is beautifully portable.
compressor try's hard but comes up a bit short -
In my case it was the 1/4" copper tubing which brings the air to the tank that failed.
I have fixed it with some liquid steel, since I'm on a job with it, I'm hoping the repair lasts till I have time to replace to tubing.
I have used this to build two large bookcase and cabinet projects so far, and in doing so I have learned the compressors limitations. This won't take the place of more powerful compressors,
but it is great for carrying to and from a job.

Very Satisfied - I live in an apartment, and I agree with others who have found the noise level lower than other compressors, a blessing in that environment.

Not having any experience with air tools, yet knowing it was the way to go to install casing and baseboard in my kitchen remodel, I agonized over whether to get a brad or finish nailer.

At just a foot high and less than two feet wide out of the carton, this compressor was quite a bit smaller than we expected, so to be fair, we quickly lowered our expectations. Emglo’s half-century in the compressor business is evident in this model, and with a couple of small exceptions (we’ll get into that in a minute), we don’t think anyone could make a finer piece of air power.) It has air aplenty for two nailers at once, and with that fast recovery, the job will get done in no time. Here’s to a great pairing of two great toolmakers. The package comes with the initial fill of DeWalt synthetic air compressor oil. Comes with the initial fill of DeWalt's synthetic air compressor oil.

Great !!! - After reading the reviews on Emglo compressors, I decided to get this DeWalt compressor because of the compact design. The design is great, very portable and solid feeling.
Thank you Saint Nick - This was a Christmas gift to myself, and well deserved I might add! Very portable and doesn't take up a lot of room in the shop.
NOT for everyone !! -
Portable, the heft is managable for most tradesmen.

Factory set pressure valve set to kick on compressor at 100psi and turn off at 120psi - which means that any fair amount of use will cause this sucker to go on-off-on-off-on-off almost constantly!

Bottom Line: DO NOT get this if you need a generous supply of air (for blow nozzles, production cabinetry, house framing, paint sprayers, etc.)

Go ahead and get one if you need a portable, professional quality, low-volume air supply (for continuous finish nailing or occasional large gun use)

This would be the perfect tool for a handyman who needs occassional yet reliable air from house to house.
Just plain smart - It's more than powerful enough to run a framer all day, it's has a simple, easy design and most impressively it si the most easilly portable compressor for it's size I've ever toted up a flight of stairs.
MOTION PICTURE IA - The only thing I can say is EMGLO! I have been using Emglo compressors for over 15 years years now in the Motion Picture Industry and on the outside and I never would settle for less. I must say I prejudged and thought well there goes the dependability and quality of Emglo's Compressors.
Good compressor - Recommend to anyone looking for reliable portable air that will last.
dewalt has never let me down - its great!!never short on air supply, even when framing.as for noise, air compressors make noise but this unit is not bad,its a lot nicer on the ears then my 30 gallon unit. the only thing that would make this unit more attractive would be wheels and a self-storing handle like porter cable offers on its single tank compressors, other then that i have no complants.
A pleasure to own! -

The biggest complaint I have about other compressors is the portability of them. This helps to center the weight to my body and I can then lug the compressor up several flights of stairs without passing out.

The main reason I bought this unit over cheaper compressors was the recommendation to the brand names of DeWalt and Emglo.
JUST WHAT I NEEDED - I HAVE HAD SEVERAL EMGLOW COMPRESSORS AND THIS HAS MET EVERY JOB I BOUGHT IT FOR. IF YOU NEED MORE AIR THEN I WOULD CONSIDER A 2 HP OR MORE SETUP. THAT MAKES THE CONTROLS FAIRLY WELL PROTECTED.
roofer wayne - I used many compressors in 28 years of roofing. The only thing that was wrong with the first dewalt was the air regulator started leaking and had to be replaced. Other then that, it worked every day for two years so far, that with two or three roofing guns going which is like four framing guns and I did not notice it starving for air.
A nice small compressor - I bought this air compressor to do light construction work. It may cost a little more but you won't have to replace it like the other compressors.
Dewalt and Emglo make a complete package, great compressor! - The sleek design, the way it protects its gauges, and its 2 quick conect air ports kept calling me every time I saw this compressor. I was not disapointed!! The unit is a little heavy for a portable compressor at over 60 lbs. The unit really has no real flaws at all the air drain has a great little lever to drain the tank with, but it does blow out hard if you open it to quick and I am not convinced it drains all the condesation real well.
DeWalt takes a classic to a new level - Originally I figured the CH had a higher air output, needed no oil changes, would work on slopes and start in cold weather.
1) First of all the Emglo name on the unit reassured me that I was getting a tool built by the industry leader with a great reputation for tough, dependable compressors. The first day on the job proved it with quick cycling times and ample air at all times.

In short, this is a serious tool for the professional contractor with loads of power(delivered air), durability, great design and looks. My only complaint is the air release lever, an otherwise solid unit mounted on the underside of the tank. The opening is too narrow for your hand and the sharp stream of air can actually cut your skin.

Job Boss Compressor Review - It is very portable and easy to use.
Porter-Cable C3151 - Ordered as a compact, easily portable unit, which it is.
I asked tech support if this could just need to have the regulator adjusted - they said no; take it to a repair center.
Left at repair center; after repair, informed they 'adjusted the regulator.
Also doesn't appear to put out the volume of air advertised.

Used it today for the first time - I use an air hammer to break out the old windows and they require a lot of air. Cord wrap is fairly useless, handle makes it portable, regulator worked, switch and air release are protected.
Wow I am impressed - I have owned quite a few compressors thru the years.
From a homeowner - The manual says 15 Amps, but its more like a hair above that. The copper one that pumps the air into the reservoir. I made the mistake of buying one of the pancake style compressors and found it a little weak for doing the basement framing.

BEST PORTABLE 6.2 cfm -
Good specs for the price range - I chose this portable unit because of the 6.8 amp draw, collapsible cart, oil lubed pump, good air filter and ball valve drain. Did not find many other compressors in this price range with those specs and did not want to pay $600+ for a monster.

On arrival the box had major rips and crushed areas fairly typical of my experiences of UPS shipment with heavy items.

POOR PERFORMER PERIOD! - I have been a carpenter for 15 years and have used alot of different compressors.
good performer, but - And the Yamaha runs a portable DeWalt table saw, jet 1200cfm dust collector and a chop saw just fine (not all at the same time!)

So, while it is not perfect, it is a good performer and I'm very satisfied with the comressor at the cost.

A DECENT LIGHT DUTY UNIT - I've a professional woodworker for 20+ years and have owned several small compressors. The list price of $600+ is a joke but wouldn't be all that far out of line if it didn't come with the flaws in the controls that turn up eventually in all light duty compressors in the $200-$300 price range. Using a light duty unit like this to feed tools like air sanders or paint guns would fry even larger, inexpensive, medium duty compressors after a realtively short time.
Happy, but could be happier - The compressor is still fairly new and seems to provide excellent power for framing guns, finishing nailers, and hoppers. However, I am not incredibly impressed with this compressors ability to start. I realize during the cold winter mornings (not too cold in the San Francisco bay area), that some compressors require an empty tank to kick over, but this is getting a little ridiculous.
Good to go - It delivers plenty of air for nailers air wrenchs and filling tires. I wouldn't use it for painting but it was about the same price as the Coleman compressors.
Good price and quality! - I did alot of checking on compressors and everyone really liked the hitachi.
Excellent Value - Compact & NOT too noisy! - I initially bought one of those oil-less 'Pancake' type compressors.
Hitachi's Dependable Compressor - The Hitachi is not only reliable, but, unlike many compressors, it truly works on 15 amps.
Compressor great, regulator bad - It has a quality oil lubricated motor and is competitively priced with "oil-less" compressors of similar size and capacity. It works great with my various small air tools (palm nailer, impact wrench, etc).
Excellent Compressor - I have looked at quite a few compressors and 95% of them have something hanging out waiting to be sheared off if impacted. I think it would be fairly simple for them to tuck the regulator assembly between the tank and pump to avoid possible damage but few manufacturers do so I didn't take any stars away for that.
